"Just believe in yourself. Even if you don't, pretend that you do and, at some point, you will" = Venus Williams
Just like the power of goal-setting and visualizations, the concept of self-assurance and belief in one's own abilities, helps our very busy mind to focus on what's important to us, to remind us that we are strong and are capable of achieving great things in life. Certain things and goals may seem way out of our reach initially, however, all it is is a way for our mind to protect us and to keep us safe, mitigating any potential risks that we may be subjecting ourselves to. So, our mind will tell us to wait, don't try, remain status quo when our gut is telling us that we can do whatever we think about accomplishing and, therefore, must try. At the end of the day, we decide what we can or cannot do. The question is, are we willing to try and challenge the status quo?
