Never stop learning mentality is having a very strong desire and determination to constantly seeking more knowledge in various areas of interest and passion through formal education and training, as well as through self-learning. One must always be hungry for more information and knowledge, regardless of education level achieved, position or title in the company, or the amount of wealth accumulated. As I have mentioned in my prior modules, podcasts, and e-books, leader never stops learning. Even the most successful leaders, who have already achieved great success and wealth, continue to read, research, and enhance their knowledge, in order to be the subject matter experts in their respected fields of business or line of work. I’ve seen many people stop growing their knowledge bank after completing school or after attending few business seminars and conferences, because, they felt that everything that they need to know, they already knew. However, as we all know, business industry, technology, leadership strategies, team management techniques, and virtually everything around us continues to change every day. Therefore, what we have learned few years, months, or even days ago, may no longer be applicable or relevant at a present time. That is exactly the reason why one must continue to learn utilizing various channels, in order to stay current in ever-changing business environment. Social media and online environment have significantly changed in the last several years and continues to change daily. If you are looking to start your own business, you can do everything from registering the business name to the website building and marketing all online, without leaving the comfort of your own home. Could you have done the same 20-30 years ago, probably not. Therefore, continuous education and knowledge building is a must for a leader, regardless of leader’s current level of knowledge or experience. There are so many great tools and resources available to us through physical books and online materials, but unfortunately, in many cases available resources remain under-utilized. Reading books is a very good start in a personal development. Online materials available on the author’s website or blog is another great development resource, especially if you enjoy their work and with to follow their future work. Many companies, entrepreneurs, authors, have free and paid resources available on their business websites for anyone who wishes to learn more. So, why not utilize all resources and information available to us, and continue to expand our knowledge? Don’t stop learning and seeking for more information, regardless where you may be in your personal development or your level of experience. As long as there’s a strong will to learn and grow personally and professionally, you will find a way to the information and knowledge that you are seeking. Just 18 years ago I didn’t speak English, however, now I am very much fluent. I have read many great leadership, team and personal development books, led and developed several wonderful and strong business teams, wrote various articles in the field of leadership and personal development, attended several great workshops, leadership conferences, and, despite all of these accomplishments and knowledge acquired thus far, I continue to learn and grow every day by expanding my knowledge through all resources that are available to me. I encourage you to stay knowledge hungry and never stop learning.
