Living in the present vs. living in the future - enjoying life from all of its sides and angles Breaking away from all the craziness and appreciating the life we have today Do you ever stop and think how wonderful life is? Break away from all of craziness, business, problems, wins, successes, chase for the fame or title and simply appreciate the life we have today, despite how hectic or difficult things may be on the surface. Unfortunately, what many of us are struggling with is exactly that, we don’t know how to take the time really stop and appreciate everything and everyone we have in our life today, and yes, some of us may not be in the best possible situation when it comes to our business, our job/career, or money, but at the end of the day you can see beautiful blue sky above your head and share your experiences, good or bad, with those around you. Turning away or choosing to pursue our own dreams and aspirations Many of us go through life without noticing anything or anyone around us, including those close to us. We tend to take life for granted, and ‘poison’ it with outside influences, such as: negative thoughts of others about us, expectations that we are expected to adhere to and follow every day whether we support those expectations or not, striving to do everything we can in order to fit in, in order to look and feel like everyone around us. We often choose to go against our own cultural and personal beliefs, just because someone said that we should in order to be accepted and understood. But what we don’t think about is that by doing so, we turn away from who we really are, who we were born to be, and become another member of a larger group, loosing our unique identity, and then go through life chasing after dreams and expectations of someone other than our own. Pause and appreciate who we really are One question that you should ask yourself is if this is something that I want for myself and my family, or do I want to be me, the person who I was born to be. I think that most of us, after asking this question, would choose the later. Why? Because, we want to be ourselves, we want to be able to express how we feel and what we think, and we want to be in control of our own life. If this is the case, then why do we fall into this trap of going though life fulfilling everyone else’s expectations and dreams but our own? I really think it’s because we simply forgot what it’s like to pause and truly appreciate who we really are, and appreciate every single day and every minute we live on this wonderful planet Earth. Stop waiting and begin doing Many people wait all their life until they reach the end of their until they reach the end of their journey and only when they are at that point is when all lifetime goals, dreams, wants and aspirations come up to the surface. That is when they begin to show true appreciation for life, sharing most secret desires that were hidden very deep inside of them throughout entire life beneath the invisible mask of expectations, assumptions, and fake smiles and negativity of shoes who pretend to be someone they are not. The most important part is that in many cases time left to realize our inner wishes and lifetime dreams and everything that we wanted to accomplish quickly slips away from us when we reach that point of our life when our journey is coming to an end. So, why wait? Why intentionally add limits to our own life, our wants and aspirations? Why live someone else’s life vs. our own every day and watching life going passed us, only leaving us in the shadow of someone else’s success? So, stop living your life in someone’s shadow, and begin living your own life today while enjoying every single moment that you encounter. Seek to find enjoyment while going through tough times as well as good. Find something positive in each situation, regardless of its complexity or how impossible something may seem. At the end of the day, remember to enjoy life from all of its multiple sides and angles and simply live. Start living in the present vs. living in the future, because, you deserve it. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
