"All great masters are chiefly distinguished by the power of adding a second, a third, and perhaps a fourth step in a continuous line. Many a man had taken the first step. With every additional step you enhance immensely the value of your first." It's important to remember to never stop half way on our journey of personal development, growth, professional progress. We must keep adding more each day to our knowledge and experience by seeking new opportunities to enhance and build on top of an existing knowledge foundation. As long as we are adding to such foundation, we are growing, we are moving forward, and we get closer to reaching our personal and professional goals that we've committed to accomplishing. It doesn't matter how fast or how slow is the progress that we are creating, what matters is that we keep trying, keep moving forward, overcoming problems and obstacles, and in turn creating forward progress vs. standing still in our comfort zone.

"Decisions are easy when values are clear" In my opinion, our values is what dictates our choices, our habits, our present and our future. When we have clear set of values that we live by, we know exactly what actions that we must take or what choices that we need to make in our personal and professional lives, when faced with a problem, a dilemma, or an opportunity. We would not do something that goes against our values, which in turn eliminates the guesswork in tough decision-making situations. Our values are like a roadmap for how we live our life and what choices we make throughout life, especially when it comes to our family, friends, finances, career, and our personal beliefs. It's important to always remember our values and do not allow opinions of others to influence our decisions and choices based on what's important to them.
"Take a chance! All life is a chance. The person who goes the furthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare" Often we hear from others - "Take a chance" when we mention that we would love to change something in our professional or personal life, when we express our desire for something new. However, taking a chance, trying something new, stepping into the unknown is not as easy or simple as it may seem to others. Life often presents us with obstacles and various limitations that stand on our way before we can even think about making a change in our life, before we are able to take a risk. Therefore, I believe that if one is not truly ready to take a chance, and try to change his or her life, or go after an ambitious goal, we should respect each individuals' unique life situations and do not force our own opinions on anyone. When one is ready to take a chance, he or she will do so not a minute sooner.
"Anyone who ever gave you confidence, you owe them a lot" We often take many things for granted in life. We get motivated, we get inspired, we achieve great things, but what we don't do very often is stop and thank those who have been the source of our drive, our inspiration, even though we know that without such individuals in our life, things would be very different, and most likely not in a positive way. So, I hope that we take the time out of our busy lives and thank those who helped us up and have been our source of motivation in our life.
"Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential" Many start but very few actually continue their journey towards reaching their goals, plans, and outcomes that we hope to see. For example, many embark on the continuous fitness and personal development journey, especially at the beginning of each New Year. Typically, such journey last for two to three weeks at most. Why? Because, things get difficult and not as fun as they might have been at the beginning. So, many stop, and make plans to try again at a later time, which in most cases does not take place until beginning of the following year. What's missing here, in my opinion, is the continuous effort and never-give-up attitude.
" I know the price of success, dedication, hard work and unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen" Determination, focus, and extreme desire to make a word a better place is what's driving and will continue to drive the change we see around us. It's not about wanting or hoping for things to change for a better some day, it's about us making that a priority in everything that we do every day, and not because someone expects us to do it, but because we want it for ourselves and those around us. Receiving a praise or acknowledgement from others is just an icing on the cake, not the goal. The cost of achieving success in life can be very high, so the main question that we must answer is - Am I fully committed to go after my dream, no matter how challenging it may be over time?
"Courage is not the absence of fear, but the capacity to act despite our fears"- John McCain Lack of courage is what keeps many of us in our place. We see other people acting from what looks from our point of view as fearless, however, what we do not know about are all those internal battles that many of us are fighting before we can move past our fears and show others what are capable of. In many cases it encourages and motivates people to act and find courage and belief in their own strength and power.
"Think of yourself as on the threshold of unparalleled success. A whole, clear, glorious life lies before you. Achieve! Achieve!" Do you believe that you can, and will achieve success? You know that it will happen you just don't know when? That's great, because, knowing that you will achieve your goals and dreams in life is one of the main ingredients to crossing that finish line that we call 'success.' So, setting the right mindset is very important here. Saying that you plan of achieving something great is not the same as stating that you are achieving it now, and that is just a matter of time before everyone around you would be able to see your achievements and your success.
"We can achieve what we can conceive and believe" - Mark Twain I strongly believe that people are capable of achieving amazing and grand things in life if they simply believe in their own abilities and exercise their unique strengths. If we believe in ourselves, we can achieve anything, and it can certainly works the other way around, which, unfortunately, happens more frequently than not. We often talk a lot about the things we want and can do, but we hardly ever back up our words and claims with taking action, and actually do that what we say we were going to do. After a period of time, many forget about what was said or promised, which allows us to put things on hold, just to get back to them sometime in the future.
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do" Overcoming our own inner fears with which we've lived for many years is very difficult but not impossible. The reason why many of us stop trying is, because, we are not comfortable being outside of our comfort zone. It's much easier to keep things as status quo, be comfortable, even though we continue to live with our fears. If only we try and step outside of our comfort zone once in a while, I think many would be pleasantly surprised by opportunities that may be available for our professional and personal growth on the other side of fear.
