"If you built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundation under them"
- Henry David Thoreau
Many people create goals in their mind, sometimes even put them on paper. However, very few actually take action and work towards accomplishing those goals. It is easy to say something that sounds good and interesting, introducing new idea, new goal, process improvement, but it takes work, and often very hard work and patience, to reach objectives set, or to implement a new process into action. So, it is important to follow up with actionable steps and detailed plan of action when introducing an idea, setting a goal, etc., painting the path of how you will accomplish set goals and objectives.

"I know for sure that what we dwell on is what we become"
- Oprah Winfrey
When we are optimistic and have positive outlook on everything that is happening in our life, then we attract more of the same and become someone who expects greatness regardless how challenging things may get. On the other hand, when we dwell on the negativity and listen to everyone's thoughts and opinions on how we should live our life instead of our own, then we attract more negativity and pessimism into our life, which only complicates things even more vs. helping us.

" Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere"
- Albert Einstein
Logic is important, and being able to use logic to navigate our daily lives is also important. However, imagination is what allows us see things that go beyond logic and take us into the places that we've never been, or places that only exist in our own mind and dreams. Imagination is what allows us create things that wouldn't be possible if we purely focused on what is logical. Sometime we need to step outside of the area of logic and step into the world created by our imagination, our wants and desires, in order to create something great.

"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will"
-Mahatma Gandhi
If we have a strong will and persistence that cannot be overshadowed by temporary setbacks and disappointments, then I believe we are capable of achieving the goal(s) that we set for ourselves. Sure, we may have to deal with difficulties, failures, and other roadblocks along the way, but as long as our inner will and belief in ourselves and positive outcome are strong, then eventually we will accomplish that what we want in life.

"With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts"
- Eleanor Roosevelt
What may be going on in our lives today, and all difficulties that we may be facing today, do not necessarily define what our future would look like tomorrow, next week, or next month. Life is a long rollercoaster. It has its ups and downs. But, the nice thing is when we are going through a difficult times, we should know the difficulties are temporary, and remember that something positive, something good is coming, as long as we are ready to accept it into our life. Each new day has the opportunity to change our present. Only we determine what that change is going to be.

"Mastering others is strength. Mastering oneself makes you fearless"
-Lao Tzu
Just because you are capable of managing others, it does not make you a great leader or mentor. One must learn how to manage his or her ego internally, be willing and ready to recognize own opportunities and weaknesses, and be ready to work hard to turn opportunities learned into personal strengths. It's equally important for a leader to be open to constructive feedback, and be willing to make necessary adjustments and take necessary steps to implement lessons learned from feedback received into personal development plan. Once we learn how to effectively manage ourselves, we could be able to open doors to the world of leadership, personal and professional growth and development.

"To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart"
-Eleanor Roosevelt

With everything that we do, our mind gives us ideas and thoughts, but our heart helps us to determine and understand how to make those thoughts and ideas a reality. Our heart never lies. Our heart is like a compass that we all must use every day to help us navigate our way through life, and help others to do the same.

"The price of greatness is responsibility"
- Winston Churchill
Creating, developing, or building something great is never the end result, it's just a beginning of a long and exciting journey. We must be teachers and mentors to those in need of support and guidance. Therefore, when we provide something great to the world, we are providing a very first step in access to greatness, for others and we are viewed as experts in what we do or provide. Goal should always be educate, support and help find solutions to problems that others may be dealing with vs. focusing solely on our own goals and objectives.

Honesty goes a long way

"No legacy is so rich as honesty"
- William Shakespeare
I believe that honesty goes a long way, especially if one is honest due to their own genuine intentions, and not because someone told them to. Often, it's not easy to deliver an honest message to an individual or a group of people, because, people are not used to hearing the truth, we are used to hearing beautiful stories that many of us often create to make something that may not be so positive but true sound more positive, with a goal  to keep everyone happy towards us. However, at some point we must tell the truth, we must tell the real story, which is much more harder to do if one was not open and honest before to begin with. So, be honest with yourself and others at all times, and you wouldn't need to worry about correcting yourself or be concerned about what may come next if you were to be dishonest.
